Empirical evidence about effectiveness would be most welcome. Tricky, because we lack infrastructure for gathering it. Platforms and providers are all over the map. Courts are overwhelmed as it is. And many apps involve legal matters that don’t end up in court. And results often have little to do with the app that might have been used along the way. Etc.

I’d like to see a de facto Yelp for legal apps, so that at least qualitative feedback could be gathered and shared. Consumers could report their experiences; subject matter experts could point out defects. http://hub.clerical.ai/ is one step in that direction.
